The official delegation of the Antiochian Patriarch, John X Yazigi, was greeted on Friday, November 28, 2014 at the Romanian Orthodox Patriarchal Cathedral.

His Holiness John X, the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, was greeted by His Holiness Daniel, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church. It is a fraternal visit.

At 17:30, the Patriarch of Antioch, John X Yazigi, was received by the President of Romania, Traian Basescu, at Cotroceni Palace. Next, His Holiness John X has visited the “Saint Spyridon – Old” Church from Bucharest, which was rebuilt and consecrated by the former Antiochian Patriarch, Ignatius IV and the former Romanian Patriarch, Teoctist Arapasu, on 26 October 1996.

On Saturday, the Antiochian Patriarch, John X Yazigi, has visited several important objectives of the Archdiocese of Bucharest, with the Archbishop of Targoviste, Niphon. The delegation has visited the Chapel of the “People’s Salvation Cathedral” from Bucharest, the “Snagov” Monastery the “Tiganesti” Monastery, near Bucharest. In the evening, the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East visited “Saint George – New” Church and “Pasarea” Monastery, near the capital.
