NEWS | John X Yazigi celebrated an Orthodox Divine Liturgy in Bucharest – Romania

On November 30, 2014, on the feast of St. Andrew, at the Romanian Orthodox Patriarchal Cathedral, Divine Liturgy was celebrated by His Holiness John X Yazigi, the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, and His Holiness Daniel, the Patriarch of Romanian Orthodox Church, with other bishops.

With this occasion, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, Daniel, has shown the regret that he couldn’t be present at the enthronement of Antiochian Patriarch, and his enjoyment that they are able to meet today.

The Patriarch John X Yazigi talked about the St. Andrew virtues.

The Patriarch of Antioch was invited by the Patriarch Daniel to return in Romania at least once every two years, not only in the winter but in the summer also, to see the geographical beauties of Romania.

The Patriarch of Antioch and All the East received an icon of St. Andrew, a medal with the image of St. Andrew, a letter from the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church and an amount of 500,000 euros from romanian orthodox christians, to help their brothers which are at this moment in difficult times.
